Summary

ABDoc lets you add a handwritten signature or initials to a PDF file entirely on your device. The app has no INTERNET permission and no storage permission of any kind — it is technically incapable of sending any data anywhere. All file access goes through Android's Storage Access Framework (the system file picker), and all processing happens locally.

Data this app collects

None. This app collects, stores, transmits, or shares no personal data, analytics, or usage data with the developer or with any third party. There is no server component and no network code in the app at all.

Permissions

This app declares no runtime permissions. It does not request INTERNET, camera, storage, contacts, location, or any other permission.

  • PDFs are opened and saved via the system's Storage Access Framework / share sheet (ACTION_VIEW, ACTION_SEND intents) — you pick the file each time using the standard Android file/document picker, and the app only ever touches the specific file you select.
  • No broad storage access is requested or held.

Data storage

Your drawn signature and initials are saved locally on your device, in the app's private storage (ink_signature.png, ink_initials.png), purely so you don't have to redraw them every time. This data:

  • Never leaves your device.
  • Is excluded from Android auto-backup (allowBackup="false"), specifically so a scan of your handwritten signature is never swept into Google Drive or any cloud backup.
  • Is deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its app data.

Signed PDFs are written back only to the location you choose via the system file picker/share sheet.

Third-party sharing, analytics, and advertising

None. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and shares no data with any third party.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, because it collects no data from any user and has no means of transmitting data off the device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new effective date, and, where required, notice will be given within the app.
